What is the difference between these products?
Advantage, Revolution, and Frontline Plus are all topical products, which means they come in a tube of liquid that you apply to your pets skin once a month. All of these products have a different chemical make up and all are meant to control and kill parasites.

• Advantage kills fleas and can be used topically on both cats and dogs.

• Revolution kills fleas, ticks, prevents heartworms, treat and controls ear mites in both cats and dogs. Also for cats Revolution treats and controls roundworms and hookworms (intestinal parasites).  It is applied topically.

• Frontline Plus kills fleas and ticks.  It is applied topically on both cats and dogs. 

• Heartgard is an oral chewable “treat” that is given once a month to prevent heartworm disease in both cats and dogs. Heartgard also controls and treats roundworm and hookworm infections in dogs and hookworms in cats.

• Comfortis is a new monthly oral chewable tablet to control fleas on dogs only.

It is recommended to use a soap free shampoo with these flea and tick control products. Soap free shampoo does not strip the oils from the skin and allows these products to work longer.
